Imelda woke up this morning about 4:00am. She was able to eat some delicious strawberry jello which helped with the nausea and throat pain from the breathing tube. According to her it was probably the most yummy jello ever - after not eating for 30 hours! A little yogurt and some clear fluids and she was very alert when Mark showed up around 8:00am. Mark spent the night in Jim and Kim's luxurious downtown suite and had an awesome 6 course meal the night before.
After an early morning snack it was time for some more anti-nausea medication - which quickly induced a nice 4 hour nap!! The pain has been quite manageble today and she is off the morphine IV drip.
Ok, it's me Imelda now. Gail Waltz walked over during her lunch break from Riley and it was so nice to visit with her. I walked around the hallway twice already and got some of the tubes taken out except the drainage ones. Father Peter came by to visit, pray, and bless me. It was so kind of him to drive up here to see me, thank you so much.
Also, my friend Sina was here and brought me beautiful flowers and uplifting cards from my beloved Classical Conversations Community in Bloomington. Ladies thank you so much for the meals you sent home with Sina...a real blessing!
The Brisbin's, thank you so much for the gorgeous flower basket and card, miss you and love you much!
And thank you all my dear family and friends for your continued support, prayers, and expression of love towards me and my family. I feel so loved by all of you. God bless you.
Well I'm gonna get some rest now and will keep updating you as often as I can. I am still in the hospital and will be here for several more days. Again, thank you, thank you so much and please continue to pray for my recovery and full healing.
Thank you my dear husband for setting this blog up for me and making it possible to communicate. I love you Mark.
Glory be to the Father the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
